Holly Dawes is a sculptural artist who lives and works in East Sussex. Her work centres around form, which takes shape as three dimensional ceramic sculptures. These sculptures are free-flowing and tactile and explore the beauty of the naturally formed, the organic and the imperfect. She collects clay and pigments from her local area, which she uses within her work, sometimes combining these materials with porcelain and sometimes using them in their pure unprocessed state.

She pinches and coils form, working intuitively with very little preconceived idea of how the work will turn out. She is inspired by the natural textures of clay directly from the earth and uses glazes to juxtapose and hold together.

Holly also converts commercial vans into beautiful campervans.
