Katja discovered silicone during her MA in Textile Design at Brighton University. Initially chosen as an analogous material for buttercream it quickly became the focus of her work, resulting in 2 years designing and developing processes around this versatile polymer.

The Silicone Shed is now the nerve centre for a collaboration with a product designer as well as other silicone-based projects.
