Half Man! Half Burger! @ The Yard is the third full scale restaurant we have opened. We came to The Yard and were blown away by the community vibe, it is an amazing site amongst a rich mix of genuine creative independent businesses. Almost a year-long project in the making, converting stable blocks, laying concrete floors, breathing new life into a beautiful warehouse-vibey, NY-inspired industrial backstreet burger paradise. 

 

Hell-bent on creating the freshest locally-sourced FRESH BEEF & VEGAN BURGERS on planet earth. Serving up in a modern industrial setting, heavy on poster art, while playing the best possible music and drinking our very own APA beer. That just about sums up the vibe.

 

We began Half Man! Half Burger! in 2013 as a pop up in Brighton at The Marlborough pub. People liked what we did, and we liked what we were doing. We were asked to join the Artist Residence hotel in 2014, then in 2015 looked for our first full scale restaurant. In July of that year we opened in St Leonards-on-Sea, about 35 miles along the coast from where we began. In 2016 we opened in Eastbourne.

 

From day one it was queues and a local response like we could have only dreamed - it has never stopped. In between Glastonbury became our outdoor residency, find us up by The John Peel stage every year with our own artist-themed burgers. 

 

Fiercely independent in outlook. Integrity and hard work are the lifeblood of our business, and we aim to keep it that way. Whether you want your burger dream dining in with us, takeaway, or delivery, our promise of real fresh food is what makes it taste so damn good. We believe passionately in providing more quality, more consistency and - most of all - more taste. We love what we do, and cannot believe the ride we have had so far.
