tenants / Carola van Dyke
Carola van Dyke is a textile artist with a fascination for textures, mismatches, contrasts, colours & layers. She designs quirky, intricate cushions and textile taxidermy with a sense of humour.
Her first cushion customer was Mary Portas, buying for House of Fraser in 2011. When Carola introduced the textile taxidermy pieces a year later, Liberty London approached her for a bespoke commission for full sized stags, using Liberty silk scarves, as a display in their London store.
Now Carola & team create flamboyant cushions and Textile Taxidermy with an eclectic mix of vintage and modern fabrics. Exuberant & vibrant in style, using handpicked textiles, they are all individually handmade in Britain. The pieces have made a distinctive presence in the interior world, nationally and internationally.
Her extensive client base and collaborations include luxury departments, fashion houses, designers, celebrities as Liberty London, Anthropologie US, Knoll Textiles, Bergdorf Goodman NY, Joseph Abboud and Ryan Reynolds to name a few.
Her textile studio being part of the creative hub at The Yard allows her to work closely with her production team to ensure the highest quality and expert craftsmanship for her customers.
